Citizen Guardian Launches Effort to Strengthen U.S. Borders

Citizen Guardian believes that a secure border creates a safer America in the war on terror. But that safety is jeopardized by criminals illegally crossing the board and pose a terrorist threat to our nation. Citizen Guardian is launching a program to pressure legislative representatives and other elected leaders to enact new laws that call for expanded support and resources for America's border patrol, and to enforce the current laws that protect our communities.

The battle plan includes:

1) Advertising Campaign.

Create, produce and distribute advertisements for printing in newspapers and magazines and posting on bulletin boards in prominent locations on America’s desperate need to secure its borders as the best protection against al Qaeda and other terrorists from slipping into America and detonating Weapons of Mass Destruction.

We have found that our print ads and posters are among the most effective ways to educate the public about an issue. Citizen Guardian members take copies of our ads and print them in their local newspapers, photocopy them, post them in their church, put them on car windshields, stuff them mail slots, and distribute them to their friends and relatives.

2) Grassroots Lobbying.

Petition Congress with letters, telegrams, phone calls and emails from citizens to secure the United States border by contacting hundreds of thousands of citizens across America with mailings, phone calls, newspaper ads and emails asking every concerned citizen to write, call and email their Congressman and two U.S. Senators.

We have no idea who is slipping across the Mexican and Canadian border every year - we cannot win the war on terror if we cannot control who is coming across our borders.

3) Issue Guides.

Create and print Issue Guides that can be downloaded for distribution in communities, neighborhoods and at town meetings on the devastating consequences of failing to secure America's borders. These Issue Guides are designed to give citizens an easy-to-understand summary of the facts and consequences of failing to gain control of America's borders, so they can take informed action and hold their elected representatives accountable.

Citizens need to know the facts about the threat to national security which comes from porous borders.
4) Citizen Mobilization Mail.

Write, print and mail letters to hundreds of thousands of civicly-active citizens across America on how our government is failing to perform its most basic responsibility of defending America's borders and to protecting citizens from a deadly invader -- that is, al Qaeda terrorists bringing with them Weapons of Mass Destruction.

In short, we need to know exactly who is entering our country in order to know the risk that's posed to our communities and security.  A nation is defined by its border, and there is no possibility of a secure America without a secure border.
